Warwickshire Avon - Blennophobia and Blunderbuses

So last season a licensed cormorant culler named specific pegs on a bit of the Warwickshire Avon that apparently a good head of Carp reside. I noted it in my phones memory and yesterday evening me and Danny fished it.

It was deep, in-fact the first dunk of the lead it easily is the deepest bit of the river I fish, estimation, maybe 14 foot, maybe more, the line on the end of the rod, vertical.

So four rods, bolt rigs, bite alarms, even a slimy bream would be welcome.

So much promise, so little delivery.

Post short, session uneventful.

A big fat blank, not even a liner....

Now that is very odd, because usually at least a few little nudges and few bleeps.

Now all is not lost as we both thought, hmmm hang on a minute, I bet there are Zander here. So the plan, well maybe next time, double dipping, dead on one rod, boilie on the other.

We've not given up on it yet....
