Warwickshire Avon - One for the pot

So I wonder what was cooked on here then, strewn Lech cans and fish scales right next to it.

  1. Bastards!!, should be made eat those cans, disrespectful arseholes. Shame they don't fall in and drown

  2. Is that just down the way from my club water Mick? Or is it a little further upstream? I can think of a couple of venues with poaching problems in that neck of the woods.

    1. Hopyards Sean went for a nose after work, I took a load of cans away, still loads there though. Only saving grace is it gets lots of anglers foot traffic but obviously not at night which I assume when these people, sorry idiots turn up.

  3. Thought it might be upstream! I only visited it once last year (first time for years) and I was disgusted by the obvious signs of poaching and littering. Years ago they had warning signs in the car park in a foreign language (Polish most likely).

Such a shame. Nice water with good access, but quite private really and therein lies the problem. Easy target for the low lifes if they avoid the obvious peak times.

    1. All valid points Sean, this fire was so blatant probably not the sort of people you want to bump into on a dark night. Not my favourite stretch of the Avon that's for sure.
