An Omen ?,hopefully

I've never had much success with self take photos, the Wife recently bought me a Samsung MV800 camera and I've just bought a bankstick adaptor so I'm eager to try it out. The screen flips 180 degrees so should make the picture taking process far easier. Now, just need to catch a decent fish (good luck Phil btw) to hopefully do the camera justice.

  1. A flip screen makes the job so much easier mate, I wouldn't be without one. Does that camera have a remote, intervalometer type thingy or what?

  2. It's got a self timer mode. I've currently got it to shoot the first shot in ten seconds, then the second shot 3 secs later.

  5. You'll find it easy I'm sure mate, 99% of my photo's are self takes, I use a Canon flip screen with a remote set on a ten second delay and get on fine with it.

  6. A decent and very pocketable compact camera the Mv800 Mick and one that's very useful when out roving about and when traveling light is of maximum importance. I have generally used it when taking self takes, using the smile shot detection feature.
It also has fairly competent 720p video recording too, but one word of advice, if you plan to do any video recording, do make sure to update the cameras firmware first, as this then remedies a known problem where the sound is out of synchronisation with the video, leaving you looking like someone from a dubbed italian spaghetti western.
