Lanzarote - Breastsummers and Breviarticulata

The spikes are big in Lanzarote !!!

Sadly for me the teeth were not, still not complaining as another species, a lizard fish ticked off the  ‘I want to catch list’ nought on soft plastics a crankbait does the business again !!!!

    1. Sure is, shame the one I caught was only a baby, then again looked scary enough at that size !!

  2. Gulp angleworm on a size 10 wormer hook on a dropshot rig did most of the business for me in Gran Canaria, whilst small metal lures got me garfish and mini-barracuda.

    1. Just throwing in some bits of prawn in to the rock pools brings all manner of species out, over gunned sadly but I will know for next time !!

  3. Looks like a nice trip. I had a couple of short sessions on our visit a few years back, caught similar species, although I couldn't fool a mullet or hook the barracuda.

Didn't come across any of those lizard fish, they look interesting!

    1. The mullet were so hard to catch, not stupid thats for sure, quite a few big'uns around too and would remove the bread from the hook without a murmur on the float !!
